3. QUICKITY SPLIT HISTORY LESSON: Lizzie Borden is a woman who was accused of murdering her father and stepmother with an ax at the end of the 19th century. Since this was a hundred years ago, you literally could get away with murder if no one saw you do it, so Lizzie was never officially put on the stand for a verdict in the case. To this day, it remains a mystery as to who killed the Bordans, and if the killer was – in fact – Lizzie.
Yet things brighten up a little with the arrival of the new maid, Bridget Sullivan (Kristen Stewart), the two of them developing a deep, almost primal connection that goes far beyond friendship.
